Nonprofit Development Summer Internship
The Barrington Farm School is a Rhode Island based nonprofit that provides educational programs on the intersection of agriculture, the environment, and public health. By working with various schools, community members and government organizations, we are building an inclusive learning center that welcomes and engages people of all ages and abilities at our suburban farm.

We are looking for a summer intern to assist our nonprofit development team in strategically expanding our organization.

Internship Tasks:
Improve our donor management system through using Quickbooks and creating a supplemental donor relationship policy.

Identify and reach out to stakeholders within the local Barrington and broader Rhode Island communities.

Work with The BFS treasurer and our lead grant-writer to understand proportions of monetary inflows and discover new revenue streams.

Aid in the planning of various fundraising events to be held over the summer and early fall.

Required Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in speaking over the phone

Well developed writing skills

Experience managing cash and checks as well as online electronic payments

A passion for community building and interest in changing the societal status quo

A university level student who takes pride in learning and engaging others
