2024 SFMNP Season - Farmer Interest Form

If you sell fresh, locally produced fruits, vegetables, cut herbs, or honey at a farmers market or farm stand in RI, we’d love to have you take part in the RI Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program. The SFMNP is going to be back at the markets this year, with a $50 benefit for each senior rather than the $25 benefit that was offered in years past. More information about the program can be found on the DEM website.

Both SFMNP and WIC FMNP will be using the same system to process their benefits, so if your farm participated in the WIC FMNP during the 2023 market season you won’t need another login or device or anything like that for the purposes of the SFMNP. To become an authorized RI SFMNP farmer, please follow this link to fill out an interest form. If you prefer, you can also use the QR code in the image below to access the same link.

The SFMNP season runs from May 1st through November 30th. We’ll be holding a training session alongside WIC FMNP on April 11th from 3pm to 5pm at the Farm Fresh RI building at 10 Sims Ave in Providence, as well as a virtual training session on April 17th from 1pm to 3pm.

In order to be able to accept SFMNP benefits at a market or a farm stand, you must participate in a training for the program. If you can’t make either of those times above, let us know and we would be happy to figure out an alternative for you. The DEM is holding open office hours throughout April and May to help people get set up to accept SFMNP benefits.
