Come farm with us at Skinny Dip Farm- Little Compton and Westport

Skinny Dip Farm is hiring for 2021

We’re looking to hire a few good folks to join our farm crew for the 2021 growing season. Preference will go to applicants hoping to farm with us for the entire 2021 season and beyond, though season applicants will be considered.

Full time and part time positions available, 3-5 days a week, 8 hours per day of field work, harvest and market prep, with the possibility of farmers market sales.

Skinny Dip Farm is a 5 acre certified organic farm located on 2 properties, one in South Westport, MA and the other in Little Compton, RI. We grow a wide range of vegetables, including lots and lots of salad greens, as well as herbs, cut flowers, and pastured chicken, all of which we sell as locally as possible through farmers markets, online farm store, CSA and restaurants. We’re always trying new methods to keep things fun and improve our sustainability, experimenting with low/no till methods, nutrient dense growing, and season extension. We have four 30’ x 96’ high tunnels that keep us busy straight through the winter harvesting and marketing fresh greens to go along with what we’ve put in storage, so year round work is available.

We are looking for help doing a wide range of field work including hoeing, hand weeding, harvest, planting, washing produce, and selling at farmers markets. Applicants must be capable of lifting 50 lbs, tolerant of working outside in all types of weather, and enthusiastic about working alone and with other people doing work that is often repetitive. Some farming experience is preferred, as is familiarity/enthusiasm for working outdoors in all kinds of weather. Reliable transportation to Westport and Little Compton required.

Pay ranges from $13.50-15/ hour, potentially more for experienced applicants, plus lots of seasonal, organic produce. No housing provided.

For the right person there is opportunity to grow into an assistant field manager/ CSA coordinator/ washstand lead/ crew leader/ floral extraordinaire/ livestock guru. Come show us you’re reliable, talented and ready to take on responsibility and we can talk longer term.

We take Covid 19 very seriously as a public health emergency and expect our workers to as well.

Email is our preferred method of contact for questions or if you are interested in working with us: [email protected]. Please include some info about yourself including your relevant work experience, or send a resume if you have one. For more information about the farm check out our blog at skinnydipfarm.com
