We are starting to look for help for the 2024 growing season!
We are a smaller farm in Eastern CT, Norwich area. We grow veggies, flowers, annuals and perennials, trees, shrubberies, etc. 90% of what we grow is from seed or cutting in our greenhouses, with several acres of uncovered field production.
This is a fast paced environment, with lots of lifting, squatting, standing, kneeling, crawling, bending, walking, reaching, sitting, moving… must be able to work in all weather conditions. We work rain or shine. If you are interested in working with us you must be able to handle all these things. Lifting 50+ pounds is necessary.
Reliability is a must, we have a small crew and everyone is important. There are no animals on the farm, only plants, previous outdoor worker is preferred, but not required if you’ve worked.
this is seasonal work.
The work is different from day to day, tasks can be repetitive, ie. Lots of: Planting, weeding, harvesting, and most of the season is Part-time hours(Early mornings preferably 7am for harvest season), general hours 9-3(ish) but will increase during peak season.
Pay will be based on experience, references checked.
