Groundwork Somerville is hiring a Seasonal Farm Manager & Educator!
- Seasonal, April - September
- $24/hr, 35 hr/week
- Manage 3,000 sq foot raised-bed vegetable operation and pollinator garden
- Conduct community engagement & education efforts - school field trips, university internships, volunteer workdays, community events (i.e. Spring Seedling Sale
Groundwork Somerville’s South St. Farm is a thriving, 3,000 square foot farm with over 20 crops, two bee hives, and a pollinator garden. The farm provides fresh, affordable, and culturally relevant produce to the City of Somerville’s Mobile Farmers Market. South St Farm is located right near Union Square and serves as an urban demonstration and education farm where our high-school green team employees, volunteers, school groups, and community members can get their hands dirty and take part in their local food system. We strive to create a flourishing ecosystem in an urban environment and to cultivate an inclusive community for all Somervillians to enjoy this urban oasis!
