Potter Hill Farm is a 35 acre farm located in Grafton, MA with a 1.5 acre diversified market garden focused on growing certified organic heirloom vegetables incorporating no-till practices. We sell through a seasonal farmers market, a CSA, and an on-farm pickup via online ordering. The remaining acreage is rotationally grazed utilizing beef cattle and laying chickens. Just 10 minutes southeast of Worcester, the farm sits atop a quiet mile-long hill with incredible views of Worcester and Mt Wachusett.
Ideal candidates will be available March or April through November, averaging 40 hours/week over the course of the growing season, with optional winter work beyond November.
A successful candidate will have the following qualities:
-attention to detail and desire to learn efficient techniques
-ability to routinely lift 50 lbs, work happil y in all weather conditions, and complete a wide range of farm duties carefully and efficiently
-a good sense of humor, ability to work well independently and with others, and a collaborative spirit
-enthusiasm for growing and eating a wide range of vegetables
-an interest in working with animals large and small (optional)

-motivation and a willingness to work hard are more important than farming experience, though experience certainly is an advantage. 2 years of farming experience is required for the Assistant Manager position.
As a small farm, both positions will work closely with the farmer and will have learning opportunities that can further develop his/her own skills and understanding of small scale, organic crop production. If you are over or underqualified for either opening, positions can be created to fit experience and ambition. Participation in farm workshops and CRAFT meetings will be encouraged.
Compensation: Compensation is commensurate with experience. Full season completion bonus of meat or cash. There is currently no on-farm housing, but there is ample affordable housing in Worcester only a few minutes away.
How to Apply: Send a brief email explaining your interest and highlighting any vegetable production experience to Paul Grady at email@example.com). For more information about the farm, please check out our website: www.potterhillfarm.com
