Hocus Pocus Farm is hiring! We are a 1-acre veggie, flower, and herb farm located in Seekonk, MA at Osamequin Farm. We are a small, queer-owned and operated team. We use no-till and regenerative practices, focusing on soil health and growing resilient plants. We run a sliding scale CSA with pickups in Providence and on the farm, as well as sell to restaurants in Providence and at the farmstand in Seekonk. We work with Hope’s Harvest to grow food for local food banks, we sell to Farm Fresh’s Market Mobile, and do floral design for weddings and events.
This job is April-Sept, 2-3 days a week. We work from about 8am-5pm with a paid 45 min lunch. Tasks include weeding, planting, prepping beds, seeding, harvesting, washing produce, sometimes delivering produce or working CSA pickups. Compensation is $17/hr as well as a full share of veggies every week. Must be able to lift 50lbs and work for long hours squatting, kneeling, and bending over in all types of weather!
The ideal candidate has a few years of farming experience and is able to complete tasks on their own, as well as working in a group. We are fast paced and have fun and eat ice cream and swim in the pond!! Join us :]
