Job Description

We are seeking a Part-Time Employee who has a passion for supporting the mental health and wellness of the Farming, Fishing and Forestry (FFF) communities in Rhode Island.

Overview

Land & Sea Together is a program of CMCRI funded through USDA/NIFA FRSAN (Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network) in partnership with RI-DEM Division of Agriculture. Land & Sea Together is building a network of services and opportunities to reduce stress for fisheries, forestry, and farming (FFF) enterprises, workers, and their families in Rhode Island.

Position Summary

We are seeking a part-time, temporary Interim Coordinator for the Land & Sea together Program, who has a passion for supporting the mental health and wellness of the Farming, Fishing and Forestry (FFF) communities in Rhode Island. We are looking for a part-time, temporary staff member from February 24 to May 30, at approximately 15 hours per week. Strong potential to stay on staff after the interim period. Pay range is $23-$25/hr. Can work mostly remotely and hours are flexible.

Reports to: Operations Director or designate

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for the coordination, implementation, and supervision of the FRSAN RI network.
-Maintain partnerships with stakeholders including RI DEM and other FFF partners.
-Develop and maintain positive relationships in the FFF community.
-Provide details of progress (including data) for established reporting timetables
-Other duties associated with this project as described by the Executive/Operations Director
-Monitor Land & Sea Together email address
-Host and facilitate several meetings and workshops virtually
-Maintain a presence on social media
-Promote all LAST programs, including Coastline E.A.P.
-Coordinate between network members, maintain relationships

Interim Coordinator Skills and Abilities

-Strong personal and professional judgement
-Ability to respond quickly to a shifting reality and adjust priorities as needed.
-Organizational skills and flexibility
-Ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural background.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Proficient in Excel, Word, Canva, Google Drive, Microsoft Outlook
-Effective oral and written communication

Experience Requirements

-2-4 years of experience in an office setting
-Experience and/or knowledge of the FFF community is a plus, but not required
