**Lead Grower for Barrington Farm School **

The Barrington Farm School is a 501©(3) non-profit whose mission is to grow food, inspire learning, build community, and foster connection to the land, with the support of dedicated volunteers. The Farm School seeks a part-time Lead Grower to manage the day-to-day growing operations of the farm during the 2022 growing season, focusing on the seed house, high tunnel, and succession planting. The seed house is used to produce seedlings for transplanting in the field and in the high tunnel with succession planting. The high tunnel is a new structure that provides indoor growing space with automated irrigation.

The Lead Grower will visit the farm five days per week, approximately 20 hours per week with flexible hours, to check on crop needs. The Lead Grower will oversee volunteers responsible for the seed house and high tunnel and, with the Volunteer Team Leaders, coordinate the planting in the fields, following the 2022 Crop Plan.

Qualifications: Experience as a gardener or grower, good communication skills, and ability to collaborate with a diverse group of volunteers and farm visitors.
