Medway Community Farm is looking for a motivated, community‑minded Field Team Member to join us for the 2026 growing season. If you love working with your hands, being outdoors, and contributing to a resilient local food system, you’ll fit right in.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position supporting all aspects of organic vegetable production from June through August. You’ll work closely with a small, experienced team on tasks such as:
- Seeding, transplanting, weeding, and harvesting
- Washing and packing produce for CSA and retail
- Field maintenance and general farm upkeep
- Opportunities to assist with:
- Farmers markets
- Community events
- On‑farm retail sales
Hours are flexible, though we strongly prefer candidates available for full‑time work during peak season.
Who We’re Looking For
You don’t need prior farm experience (though we love it if you do)—just a strong work ethic and a genuine interest in local agriculture. Ideal candidates are:
- Physically capable of repetitive, active work
- Comfortable working outdoors in all kinds of weather
- Curious about sustainable farming, food systems, and community agriculture
- Reliable, communicative, and ready to be part of a collaborative team
