Position Overview: This dual position of Assistant Director of Manufacturing and Assistant Director of Fulfillment will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our product packaging, flower production, and fulfillment processes. This hybrid role combines responsibilities from production assistance, flower management, and fulfillment, making it a dynamic and integral part of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Assistance:

  • Assist the Production Manager with daily tasks and responsibilities.
  • Re-stock new inventory using the first in, first out (FIFO) method.
  • Maintain the market refill box as needed.
  • Label, package, and seal products according to packaging priorities set by the Director of Manufacturing.
  • Notify the Director of Manufacturing of any product, label, and packaging needs.
  • Assist with compound production and primary packaging.
  • Utilize payroll tracking systems to record labor hours and categorize tasks.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary production lab and storage spaces.

Flower Production Management:

  • Assist the Director of Cultivation with duties related to flower production and storage.
  • Track and manually count flower inventory using Google Forms, following the FIFO method.
  • Ensure proper conditions during flower harvest, drying, curing, and storage.
  • Grade and sort flower to ensure consistent quality control.
  • Notify the Director of Manufacturing of any packaging needs and the Director of Cultivation of any issues with flower quality or storage.
  • Assist with flower curing, storage, trimming, packaging, and pre-roll production.
  • Maintain detailed flower production logs and inventory.
  • Conduct daily and weekly protocols to ensure clean, organized, and sanitary production lab and storage spaces.

Fulfillment:

  • Manage all inventory, including bulk products and shipping supplies.
  • Assist with flower storage and inventory.
  • Schedule shipments and calendar events.
  • Communicate farm pick-up details to the team.
  • Fulfill both e-commerce and wholesale orders.
  • Coordinate UPS and USPS shipments.
  • Maintain shipping and fulfillment reports and data tracking.
  • Assist with wholesale order processing.
  • Assist with overall customer service and support.
  • Handle customer communications and service.
  • Address consumer complaints and maintain customer response logs.

Prerequisites:

  • Relevant degrees include; Cannabis Entrepreneurship, Agricultural Science, Horticulture, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, and Environmental Science.
  • Professional experience working in the legal cannabis industry is preferred but not required.
  • Basic understanding of Google Workspace (specifically Google Sheets), WooCommerce, Sendle, and Slack.
  • Comfortable answering and fielding phone calls.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in various conditions.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Willingness to complete repetitive motions using fingers and hands.
  • Previous experience in cannabis production, trimming, or related fields is a plus.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team setting.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly wage, based on experience, starting at $17/hour.
