OVERVIEW: Lovewell Farms, Rhode Island’s only USDA organic hemp farm, is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented worker for our summer farmers markets. On the farm, we’re passionate about offering our premium handcrafted CBD products derived from our locally-grown hemp. With a commitment to supporting local farmers and businesses, we promote wellness and sustainability by delivering high-quality, natural products to our community, making the healing power of cannabis accessible to all. As a farmers market worker, you’ll play a vital role in representing our brand and ensuring an exceptional experience for our customers.
DUTIES:
Stock and restock product inventory and count the cash box before and after each market.
Set up and dismantle the booth at the farmers market, ensuring it’s visually appealing and well-organized.
Engage with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, providing information about our products, including our CBD offerings, and their benefits.
Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate sales records.
Be aware of month-to-month product promotions.
Assist in restocking and arranging products to maintain an attractive display throughout the market.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and deliver excellent customer service.
Maintain cleanliness and adhere to hygiene standards at the booth.
Represent Lovewell Farms with professionalism and enthusiasm, embodying our values of community, sustainability, and quality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of local agriculture and CBD products is preferred.
Willing to work in all weather conditions, markets are often rain or shine.
Previous experience in customer service or retail, preferably in a cannabis-related environment and/or in farmers markets.
Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash and credit transactions.
Physical ability to lift and carry boxes of at least fifty pounds (50 lbs) and set up booth equipment.
Availability to work weekends and holidays, as farmers markets often operate on these days.
