A.R. Plante was originally known as a construction-focused company. Today, we’re rapidly expanding into organic compost and mulch production. To support that growth, we have built a dedicated division A.R. Plante Organics focused entirely on our 100% organic product line and OMRI Listed materials.
To make this transition the right way, our team was built with a mix of expertise: business leadership, construction and equipment operators, and experienced farm and soil professionals.
We are quickly positioning ourselves to become one of the largest 100% certified organic, OMRI-listed product lines under a single company in New England. Our focus is simple—building healthier soils across the landscape, home garden, and agricultural sectors. Strong soil structure leads to better crop production, healthier trees and shrubs, and more resilient turf systems.
Our product line continues to expand and currently includes OMRI Listed composts, our 80/20 OMRI compost–biochar blend, and OMRI Listed leaf mulch all developed with the goal of improving soil health while providing clean, consistent organic materials for growers, landscapers, and property managers.

For customers looking for the convenience of bulk with easier handling, we also offer 1- and 2-cubic-yard sling bags. These provide a clean and efficient way to move materials with common equipment such as forklifts or skid steers. Smaller retail bags (1–2 cubic feet) will also be available later in spring 2026, providing another convenient option for homeowners and smaller projects.
