JOB DESCRIPTION:
Summary
Entry level farm labor position. Responsible for assisting with general farm operations including, but not limited to the planting, cleaning and sorting oysters in all stages of growth, maintenance and harvest of the company’s oysters. Candidate must be able to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions. Boating safety certificate or boat experience is preferred - aquaculture experience is a plus. Will offer advanced training to those exhibiting a strong interest to learn the trade. All candidates must be 18 and older with a current driver’s license and clean background check.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be a team player
  • Perform tasks on the oyster lease as expected. Tasks to include planting, cleaning, harvesting and sorting oysters, maintaining oyster lease and surrounding grounds, and assisting in general farm maintenance.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work safely and effectively in inclement weather and adverse conditions
  • Operate various farm equipment including our mechanical sorter, power washer, and oyster boat
