It’s that time of the year!
The team at Rhode Island Nursery and Landscape Association is gearing up for another round of our Pre-Apprenticeship training, the Growing Futures Career Catalyst, set to take place in January and February 2024. It is a five-week paid training course taking place online and in the Arcadia Management Area in Exeter, Rhode Island for people who are interested in starting careers in the green industry. The Career Catalyst Pre-Apprenticeship program fast-tracks the next generation of passionate people into meaningful careers in Rhode Island’s plant-based industries.
We’re having one final Information Session on December 4 at 7pm on Zoom.
Participate in work projects on Rhode Island’s public lands, while learning skills and topics that are essential to success in green industry jobs and careers. In this rigorous program, participants earn while they learn, pair theory with practice, and engage with scientists, industry leaders and practitioners. Program graduates are matched with job opportunities and a potential pathway to the more advanced Growing Futures Registered Apprenticeship program.
Individuals who are interested should sign up for an Information Session to learn more about this opportunity and to ask any questions they may have. The last Information Session will be on December 4. After attending an info session, attendees will receive a link to apply for an interview.
