REPOST: Free School for Farmworkers session on staying safe in extreme heat

Hi all,

We hope you’ll join us for our upcoming Free School for Farmworkers session on staying safe in extreme heat, scheduled for Sunday, May 12 from 5:00-7:00 pm Central Time. See here for additional details and to register. During this session, we’ll hear from professionals working to provide care and education in this space - with time dedicated to open sharing amongst attendees. Some key topics we’ll discuss include:

  • Preventative action: what can you do to stay hydrated and safe?
  • Warning signs: what should you look for and how can you identify warning signs - both for yourself and others?
  • Emergency action: what steps should you take when help is needed right away?
  • On-farm examples: how can the farm work environment support a culture of safety?

This session will be in both English and Spanish and is for farmworkers only. Feel free to share with your farmworker peers, and we hope to see you there!
