Tenancy-Farming Opportunity in Easton MA

The Easton Conservation Commission (Commission) is inviting proposals for a unique opportunity for the tenancy at the Tufts Farm, 108 Canton Street, Easton, MA, that will result in the occupancy and maintenance of the house and outbuildings. Tenancy includes the agricultural use of 3 acres of farmland plus two adjacent fields (approximately 3.8 acres) also on conservation land. The Commission is interested in proposals for enhancing the agricultural use of the site, using the publicly vetted Tufts Farm Master Plan as a general framework. Tenancy is proposed initially for one year with options to renew for up to five years.

Proposals must be submitted to Easton Town Hall no later than Monday, March 28, 2022 by 12:00 noon and will be publicly opened and read aloud remotely via Zoom technology. The Zoom link will be sent via email to all who responded to the RFP.

Proposals will be evaluated according to a list of criteria within two (2) weeks of the submittal deadline.
Interviews may be held with finalists prior to selection Tentatively March 31, 2022 at 6:30pm via Zoom
Final selection – Expected within 2 weeks of interview
