The RI Farm to School Network, with the RI Dept. of Environmental Management, RI Dept. of Education, Farm Fresh Rhode Island, and Commerce RI are hosting our annual Farm to School Purchasing Gathering, with a twist!

Cultivating Connections: K-12 and College Procurement Gathering

The RI Farm to School Network, in partnership with the RI Division of Agriculture, RI Department of Education, Farm Fresh Rhode Island, and Commerce RI, invites you to a new event designed to connect local food producers with buyers for RI’s K-12 schools and colleges.

Join us on January 31, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Farm Fresh Rhode Island (10 Sims Ave unit 103, Providence, RI 02909) for an afternoon of networking, learning, and building relationships. This free event is open to all farmers, fishers, local food producers, and k-12 and college foodservice interested in expanding their connection to local food and local school markets.

What to expect:

  • Learn about the logistics of selling to schools and colleges in educational sessions.
  • Share your challenges and opportunities with other producers and buyers in dynamic discussions.
  • Share your farm or business directly to school and college buyers in one-on-one matchmaking sessions.
  • Network with potential partners and build lasting relationships.
  • Help increase the amount of local, delicious food served in Rhode Island’s schools!

Matchmaking Magic:

During the event, we’ll dedicate a special hour to pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings between producers and buyers. This is your chance to showcase your products, highlight your strengths, and find the perfect school, college, or vendor match for your farm or business****. If you are a**** seller interested in signing up for slots for one-on-one meetings with buyers at this event, please fill out this interest form IN ADDITION TO registering for the event.
