Tomorrow, Young Farmer Night @ Plant Community RI - *Focus* How to Grow Native Plants

Hi Y’all!

We have the last Young Farmer Night of the season at Plant Community RI in East Greenwich. Lizzie Hunt from Plant Community RI will be giving us a tour around Plant Community RI’s Native Plant Nursery and talking about collecting, starting, and growing out native seeds. We’ll also be chatting about the best way we could start increasing the diversity on the land we steward to help mitigate climate change, increase yields, and use native plants to help monitor the insects traveling to your crops before it happens.

Grill will be fired up for food, bring some veggies to throw on and there will be a fire.

Date: Sunday, November 16th

Time: 3:00 - 6:00

Address: We will park and meet at 1127 Frenchtown Rd, East Greenwich, RI 02818. Then walk over to the Nursery together. This is a large parking area, navigate towards the orange sign to find the group.

Accessibility Information: The longest walk would be 2 minute. The Nursery has a steep hill down to flat ground. Other than the hill when we first enter the nursery, everywhere else on the property is grassy and even. Please bring a chair if that will be helpful for you on the tour. There will be a lot of standing or sitting on the grass.
