Young Farmer Celebration at White Barn Farm ~This Sunday

Hey y’all,

Young Farmer Network is hosting a celebration happening at White Barn Farm in Wrentham MA this Sunday, October 19th from 3pm-6pm.

The theme is “Procession of the Species” So bring your best tomato hornworm, groundhog, or tardigrade costumes. Or just come as you are. More in depth info is here!

There’s gonna be music by:

Princess June ~ stellar fleet fox esc. group with ethereal harmonies

& Poppy in the Beet Patch ~ Folk/Rock/Rhythm and Blues farmer led band based out of PVD

In between their sets, around 4ish, we’ll be playing music as a group and jaunting around the farm with some puppetry by Wicked Queer Puppet Theater and our own costumes. Bring some additional music making things to add to the procession.

Some other stuff that will be happening:

  • Community Sauerkraut ~ Kinda like a stone soup but with Sauerkraut. Bring some veggies and we’ll be cutting them up and doing a Sauerkraut making demo and folks can go home with a jar

  • Natural Dyeing & Bandana Printing

The main event will start slowing down around 6:00 but farmers/folks are able to hang later and we’ll get a fire going.
