Annie here. I’ve been the coordinator at the Young Farmer Network of SE New England for over 2 years now and am stepping back from my role come mid-march. We are splitting the role I had into two positions.
One would be an awesome source of supplemental income for a farmer (5-15 hrs a month) & one would be a great option for a person who is looking to step out of the farming world and into doing more farmer program development / network building and has more commitment for day time meetings Check out the Job Descriptions & Applications Here
Operations/Programs Coordinator:
Time Commitment: 15-20 hrs/week
Salary: $30 per hour (Independent Contractor)
Location: The majority of hours will be remote within Rhode Island
In-Person Events Coordinator Role:
Time Commitment: 5-15 hrs/month - This position’s hours fluctuate. May-November hours range from 5-10 hours a month, which includes pre-planning for events and in-person coordination at the Young Farmer Nights and partner organization community events. December-April hours are 10-15 hours a month, which includes pre-planning for the upcoming season, in-person coordinating for winter workshops, and attending ag conferences.
Salary: $30 per hour (Independent Contractor)
Location: 1-3 events per month will be held in-person throughout SE Mass & Rhode Island. Meetings with Operation/Programs Coordinator and partner orgs will be held in Rhode Island or Virtually.
